ICOM – VHF IP-M60 – HYBRID PORTABLE VHF

The ICOM IP-M60 portable VHF makes communication and exchanges secure and fluid for a wide range of activities: races and nautical events, surveillance and rescue missions at sea and, more generally, all seaside activities.

It will accompany you wherever professionals need reliable communications: ports, industrial or maritime zones, construction sites, at sea, on inland rivers and canals, etc.

LTE MODE

The portable VHF Icom IP-M60 features LTE mode (4G/3G operators), enabling unlimited PTT (push-to-talk) communications using the various mobile operator networks.

In addition to “Simplex” exchanges, you can communicate in “Full Duplex” to talk and receive at the same time, just like with a telephone. You can make group calls to reach several people simultaneously.

The LTE mode of the VHF IP-M60 Icom offers additional features:

• Priority calls
• Manual alarm
• Lone Worker alarm
• Lone Worker Protection (LWP )
• Remote station disabling: deactivate a station in the event of loss or theft
• Vibrate function: configurable alert by vibration in total discretion
• Status and “Text” message: define a status (meeting, busy, free…) or send a short message

VHF AND GPS MODE

The portable VHF IP-M60 Icom naturally benefits from all the functions and performance of a conventional marine VHF, to facilitate navigation and ensure safety by keeping in touch with other boats and coastal stations.

The VHF Icom IP-M60 features an integrated GPS receiver for automatic switching between VHF Marine mode and LTE mode, depending on GPS position. Up to 30 circular positions can be defined by VHF IPM60 users.

This latest-generation GPS receiver enables regular transmission of location data to a fleet tracking application (e.g. Front Connect software).

There’s also a button for direct access to channel 16. Dual and triple watch functions are also available for monitoring multiple channels.

DUAL PTT MODE

The Icom IP-M60 VHF features instant access to both LTE and VHF Marine modes, thanks to two PTT buttons on the side of the radio:

• Main PTT button
• A secondary PTT button (Sub PTT)

You’re free to choose the assignment of the 2 buttons for LTE and VHF Marine modes.

The VHF IP-M60 features Call Broadcast, which lets you transmit a call simultaneously on both LTE and VHF Marine networks. Simply press the 2 PTT buttons simultaneously.

Last but not least, the VHF IPM60 Icom features a “Repeater” (or bridge) mode. This bridge function makes it very easy to connect a marine VHF network and a fleet of LTE terminals.

This unique function enables LTE radios located far from the coast to communicate with VHF marine radios located in the maritime zone.

This ensures that critical information reaches the relevant personnel in real time, enhancing safety and coordination.

POWERFUL IP-M60 MARINE VHF

The VHF Icom IP-M60 features optimum audio power (1500 mW ). The level delivered by the loudspeaker offers exceptional volume and audio communication quality, even in noisy environments.

The IP-M60 Icom portable radio lets you record up to 4 minutes of reception for later listening (10 recordings for a total of up to 4 min).

The integrated Bluetooth module enables the VHF to be used with compatible wireless accessories for hands-free operation.

The famous AquaQuake function , unique to Icom, ejects water from the VHF using infrasound to dry out the loudspeaker. As a result, the IP-M60 delivers clear sound even when wet from rain or waves. What’s more, the noise reduction function also enhances sound quality.
